Thank You!

Hello everyone. There is no greater thing for teachers that will make them happier in life than to touch the lives of others. This is true with my experience in Notre Dame of Dadiangas College for the last six months of my practice teaching experience. It was a nice and a new experience for me. When I step into the school where I as sent to teach, there was so much fear inside me but I did not mind it since I know I am quite prepared for it.

It was nice to meet and have new friends and to know some of the faculty members of the school. From the orientation up to the starting of the class teaching, I was nervous but I tried to get mu pace and go on with what was tasked me and massioned me to do in the school----to teach and "be teached". The first day was fine, I got the chance to introduce myself a bit but still nervous. Inside the classroom, when I first met the students, of course, basics inside the classroom, I have to set some parameters so that my students will know their limitations when they are inside the classroom. As always, I am the teacher and they are the students and they should know what are the ersponsibilities of a student.

In the school, I have to prepare lesson plans, pass them and prepare quizzes for the students and everyday update my class list. I have to, most importantly, talk and have an informal chat with my students. It is important so that I may know them better. The first day wasa good, I set some priorities that my students should know and do when they are in the classroom.

As time pass by, honestly I got tired of going back and teaching but I know that I should not be weakened by the way I feel since I am a Marist Brother and I do have a lot of responsibilities for my students since I was given the oppurtunity to teach them and become their teacher. I though of maybe quitting but I know that that should not be the right thing to do. I got some struggles within me that are difficult to battle with. Whenever I feel this way, I am reminded of the way Marcellin, my founder, persevered. I am reminding myself of His zeal in doing what are the things that are entrusted to Him. I am reminding myself that I am not an ordinary teacher, I am a Marist Teacher... a Marist Educator who is following the footsteps of our founder St. Marcellin Champagnat. He persevered to the end and became one of the most important educator of His time.

One of the most important experience tha I learned from this experience is that insted of me educating my students, they educate me instead. Though all of my students were all "pasaway" but becasue of them I learnd a lot from my expereince with them. Thank you to all of you my students. You have been a great teacher to me as a Marist Brother. I learnd a lot from my experience with you and most of all I learnd a lot from your "being" you.

They are too many to mention, instead I will just mention them by class. Thanks to the follwing class of Notre Dame of Dadiangas College:
